Kedarnath requires a 16 km trek from Gaurikund. The trek is moderate in difficulty. Pony, palki, and helicopter services are available at additional cost for convenience.
No, helicopter service is not included in the base package cost. It can be arranged on request from Phata / Guptkashi at extra charges (subject to weather availability).
The best time to visit Kedarnath and Badrinath is from May to June and September to October. Temples usually remain closed during winter due to heavy snowfall.
